Meet Monroe: Nick Lewis

How long have you been at Monroe Aerospace, and what do you do here?

I have been with Monroe Aerospace for almost 22 years. I am currently the Director of Business Development. My primary role is to support the sales team, however I also visit and support our customers, manage hardware applications, and help marketing with our trade shows.

Describe your background:

I started in the warehouse packing 100’s (speed bins) and then over time I worked my way into the Director of Quality Assurance role, where I spent the majority of my career and my time at Monroe Aerospace.

What are your hobbies?

I love kayaking, coaching youth sports and mostly spending time with my family. I have 6 children, so my hobbies involve them. I get the occasional round of golf in when I can.

What did you want to be when you were small?

I always wanted to be a baseball player. My grandfather played, and I fell in love with the game.

Who is your hero?

My hero has always been my Grandfather. He passed away when i was young, but made such an impact on my life.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I would probably move to the mountains. I enjoy the cold weather and the beauty of God’s creation.

What is your favorite movie, tv show, or book – and why?

Movie – I would say “Goodfellas” because its a classic! For my TV show – I enjoy “King of Queens” and any shows that have to do with survival. When it comes to books – I really like the book “Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters” by Meg Meeker. 4 of my 6 children are girls, so I need all the help I can get!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Definitely would have to be New York style pizza, specifically “Tommy’s”, which is located in the Bronx. I would also add some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on the side.

What would you sing at karaoke night?

Nobody wants to here me sing LOL! If I had to choose, it would either be “Crazy Mary” by Pearl Jam, or “How he Loves”, by the David Crowder band.

If you would choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

Play shortstop for the New York Yankees.
